An accomplished writer / director (often EP & DoP),
Megan mashes true life realism with
a dark & magical wit - plot twisting her narrative trademark.
On the heels of her festival winning short film, Demolition, Megan has recently been
attached to helm a thriller for Spyglass - part of her slate of original (UK / Canadian)
film properties. A busy commercial director, she most recently helmed
Vote Common Good viral sensation, Voting Booth,voiced by Julia Roberts,
for Harris Walz, garnering staggering Billions in UVM.
She also EP'd the George Clooney companion ad.
Selected for the Handmaid’s Tale S4 directing program, she then
directed multiple seasons of short comedic series for Amazon.
Her social impact documentary work includes 7 festival favorite feature docs, she was
Knighted in Hungary (w/ Colin K. Gray & their EPs, Quentin Tarantino & Lucy Liu),
honored as a Legendary Woman Artist of Venice (w/ Catherine Hardwicke & Lucy Walker),
and her work has also received Clio, Cannes Lion, Realscreen, Writer’s Guild,
Telly & Streamy nods. A Groundlings trained writer and occasional stand-up comic
to boot, Megan now brings this unique cocktail to her scripted work.
Born in Canada, Megan trained as an actor in the UK before moving to NYC
where she came up as a cinematographer and editor, eventually moving to Los Angeles.
Megan leads with evocative visuals. Her commitment to nuanced performance &
character development, her creative eye for detail & composition, plus her grace under fire
& overall dedication to the craft, make her a dynamic
leader & freckle faced force.
Megan founded Venice Beach based impact focused production company,
GRAiNEY PICTURES, with her long time collaborator & brother,
Colin K Gray - known together as The Sibs. GRAiNEY recently opened in Canada
& soon the UK, with top tier team mates positioned across markets.
